You often can see an attorney for free at least on a first visit. Knowledge is power. Learn what it is that you're signing and the consequences of signing that document are.

Remember, once you sign a settlement document, regardless of whether it's contractual, a business claim or a personal injury claim, it's over. You will no longer have rights; you can now longer file a lawsuit. You better know what your consequences are. You better make sure you're being fully compensated.
