Our client (Louisiana resident), an elderly woman in her seventies, was severely injured when she was struck by a vehicle when she was walking across a roadway as a pedestrian. She suffered severe brain damage, spinal, as well as other injuries, and was confined to a nursing home after the collision. A settlement was paid by the liability insurer in the amount of 1.32 million dollars (which was 100% of the available liability limits plus accrued interest).
